Thursdays, Wine Tasting at Donna's Cafe
Each Thursday we meet at Donna's which offers a tasting consisting of four wines connected by a theme, accompanied by hors d'oeuvres.
The cost is $18. Time is 6 PM-8 PM.  Dinner is also available, if desired.

Saturday/Sunday August 28/29, Linganore Wine Festival (Jazz)

It would be nice to have a group to enjoy the music and sample their wine & maybe have picnic.
(They allow anything in coolers except for alcohol.  Blankets or canopies or umbrellas are ok.)  Hello Sun!

Sunday August 29, Movie
Join us for an evening at the movies at Snowden Square Theater
There are various movies starting around 4:00 PM.
Good movies currently showing are The Switch, Eat, Pray, Love, Salt and The Expendables,
but that could change by the weekend. We can all go to Ruby Tuesday's afterwards for dinner.

SEPTEMBER

Friday September 24, Fall Dance
This SJS Fall dance will feature the popular band, Oracle.
The dance will be from 8:00PM-midnight at the Wilde Lake Interfaith Center.
More information will be forthcoming as we get closer to the occasion.


OCTOBER

Friday October 1 thru Sunday October 3, Camping Trip
We are planning a camping trip.  The place is Gifford Pinchot State park in near by Lewisberry PA.
This is open to all.  Children can come.  The sponsor has called the park Cherry and Dogwood group camping area are available for that weekend.
This area is a tent camping area.  The total cost for both areas is $228 for the weekend.   We will divide the cost by the number of adults coming.
Total cost may be less depending on number of people coming ( we may need just one of the group sites).
Children over 18 are adults. Early fall camping can be best time of the year for camping.
We have not made a reservation.  The sponsor needs a FIRM commitment that you are coming before making the reservation.
That way  people know the cost of weekend.   We do not  need the money now but the sponsor will need the  money before the weekend.
Gifford Pinchot Park has flush toilets and hot showers.  The group site is beautiful.
There are hiking trails, fishing,  bring your canoes, I believe the lake will be open  for swimming- NO life guard.
There is room for a large group.
If you have a RV there are RV sites with hooks ups close to the group site.  You will need to call and set up your  own reservation.
Sorry, the Cottages in the park are book for the rest  of the season.
