Liturgical Ministers
Parishioners participate in weekly liturgies serving as Ushers, Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, and Sacristans. Ministers commit to serving one weekend a month and serving at other parish liturgical celebrations. Parishioners are needed to facilitate the Children’s Liturgy which takes place weekly at the 10:30am Mass. Parishioners also serve as Bread Bakers and Linen Ministers. This commitment is usually 4-6 times a year.
Liturgy Committee Mission
Statement
Composed of parishioners and Liturgy staff person. Parishioners are recruited or volunteer to serve on the committee. The committee meets once a month. Their agenda covers how to support liturgical ministers, address needs for special liturgical events, responds to special requests from other committees.
FUNERALS

Notification of a death should be made to Eileen Kiefer to arrange for services.
Viewing/Wake Service – may be held at Wilde Lake Interfaith Center or funeral home
Mass-may be held at Wilde Lake Interfaith Center or Oakland Mills Interfaith Center
Family may personalize Mass including choosing readings and hymns.
Reception following funeral may be held if room is available. Parish provides room and parishioners to help serve. Family provides food, beverages, paper products, etc.
Parish is notified of a death on the parish web page, bulletin notice, and announcement at weekend Masses.
Prearrangements for a funeral may be made at any time.
Resurrection Ministers
parishioners volunteer to be available the day of a funeral. They serve as hospitality ministers when people arrive and as hosts if a luncheon is held following the funeral service. There are times when Lectors and/or Eucharistic Ministers are needed for the funeral mass.
Resurrection Committee
Composed of parishioners and Resurrection Ministry staff person. Parishioners are recruited or volunteer to serve on the committee. The committee meets as needed. Areas that are addressed include : ways to enhance our ministry to serve those in need, develop handouts for families to use as a resource, to design and participate in the annual parish Memorial Mass in November.
