ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAMS
Our mission is to help the adult community of St. John’s to (1) acquire an attitude of conversion to the Lord, (2) live the gift and choice of faith through membership in the Christian community, (3) be a Christian disciple in the world.
Watch this space and the weekly bulletin for a constantly evolving schedule of adult faith formation programs and events.

READING SCRIPTURE TOGETHER
2011 / 2012
All sessions are held at
Wilde Lake Interfaith Center.
Each program runs from
12:30 to 2:00 (after the noon mass) on Wednesdays and from 7:30 to 9:00 in the evening
on Thursdays.
Light refreshments are provided on Wednesdays to tide folks over.
We read a portion of the
scripture together out loud, hear some ideas from the scholars about that text,
discuss together, and ask "What do I hear in this Word from God for my life
today?".
Please check my blog:
www.BibleStudySJERC.org for
notes from previous and current studies and our continually updated schedule, as
well as other internet based resources and information.

asserting a purpose for our lives. A short review of a reading each month,
discussion and questions and debate over the ideas to follow.

Christian and Jewish Studies (ICJS).
We will gather for two
sessions in the fall of 2011 - Sunday November 6 and Sunday November 13.
We will do a potluck lunch together, followed by brief presentations and a lot
of talk at the tables between participants.
We will do additional
sessions in the spring of 2012 if there is sufficient interest.
All sessions will be at Oakland
Mills Interfaith Center
